Prayaas Corps is committed to safeguarding the personal information entrusted to us by our clients, contacts, vendors or volunteers. We manage your personal information in accordance with Data Protection Act and Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws. This policy outlines the principles and practices we follow in protecting your personal information.

This policy applies to Prayaas Corps and to any person providing services on our behalf. A copy of this policy is provided to any clients, contacts, vendors or volunteers on request.

We take personal information about you when you enter a request, sign up to our information sheet or register your interest as a potential volunteer. The data we gather consist of your name, address, e-mail as well as phone numbers. This personal information is not distributed, shared, rented or given to companies or organizations that are not part of Prayaas Corps.

We collect only the personal information that we need for the purposes of providing services to our contacts, including personal information needed to:
– deliver newsletters and notifications
– enrol a volunteer in a program
– send out association membership information

We ask for your express consent for some purposes and may not be able to provide certain services if you are unwilling to provide consent to the collection, use or disclosure of certain personal information. Where express consent is needed, we will normally ask contact or volunteers to provide their consent orally (in person, by telephone), or in writing (by signing a consent form).

We usually update our followers by email, 6 times a year. If you think you are being contacted frequently, please inform us and we can limit this to less updates or if you would prefer, take you out from the e-mailing list completely.

You can also request a copy of the personal info we have for you at any time by emailing at contact[at]prayaascorps[dot]com.
If any personal information changes or you find our records are not up-to-date, please inform us.

We will make sure your personal information is held safely, as per the Data Protection Act.
